Home Stretch for Hospitality!
After more than 60 years, the Keith Kuipers Gym remains one of the most well-used buildings on Rehoboth's campus, and the final leg of its renovation will continue and even increase its impact for decades to come! One of the main reasons people visit our campus is for sporting events, and the Keith Kuipers Gym is often at the hub of those experiences! Aside from school sports, the Keith Kuiper's Gym hosts a multitude of community basketball tournaments during the spring, summer, and fall. Players, teams, and families from all over New Mexico and Arizona come together under the KK Gym roof to enjoy great competition and plenty of spirit!
Phase 1- Demolition- Completed!
The first phase of the Keith Kuipers gym renovation project saw us demolish the old stage, bathrooms, and lockers rooms and replaced them with a batting cage that our baseball and softball teams use well. New LED lighting was installed to replace the original metal halide lighting. The building feels much cleaner and more welcoming already and that has generated more interest and use for the space. Now we're making a final push as we come down the home stretch that will enable us to demonstrate even more hospitality to our community!
Phase 2- Restroom & Concession Addition
The addition of a proper entrance lobby, concessions area, and restrooms will mean easier wayfinding and a welcoming experience for our guests. Those features will also enable us to rent the space to families and groups for larger functions, thereby providing a new revenue stream for our school.
