Destination Rehoboth

Destination Rehoboth (DR) is a one week service learning trip located in Rehoboth, New Mexico. High school students from across the country are invited, along with their ministry leaders, to experience and partner with the people and culture of Rehoboth and the surrounding community. Participants will engage in work projects throughout the week, join with each other in nightly worship services, and small group discussion, as well as participate in cultural activities.

Examples of DR Work Projects: 
In the past DR work projects have partnered with local churches on the Navajo Reservation, other local  mission organizations, as well as with Rehoboth Christian School.
Specific projects that have been done in the past include painting, yard work, roofing, basic carpentry,  and cleaning. We have also had opportunities to serve in a food pantry, the local children’s library, and with local mission organizations. 
All service projects are set up with intentionality in order to engage with the community and the truest needs of the people. "

The goal of each service opportunity is to further the kingdom of God both in the participants lives and those they intersect with.

Worship: A guest speaker will set the theme for the week, as well as lead nightly talks and Biblical teachings. Small group materials will be provided as well as morning devotions for groups.  A worship band will lead us each evening in praise and worship.

Lodging: Participants will stay in our on campus dormitories or in another school building with provided cots and air mattresses.  Living spaces and bathrooms are divided by gender.

Meals: All meals are provided in the school cafeteria. Dietary restrictions will be taken into account.

Fun Day Away: One day of the week we set work projects aside and engage the culture through activities such as hiking, Pueblo tours, or historical presentations.
