The solar array on our Middle School was installed in the summer of 2024, we flipped the switch in September 2024. Now that we have been producing for over a year, we are excited to see that the solar array reduced our annual electrical expenses by $17,000, and the total annual production exceeded the initial projections. As our utility expense are reduced, we hope to continue to make Christian education for our families affordable while also providing for our teachers and staff.
As we continue to strive to be Creation Keepers, one of our Rehoboth Throughlines, we are thankful to use the abundant New Mexico sunshine to help us better be stewards of God’s creation and the resources that He has provided for us. We hope to have the funding raised by February 1, 2026 to move forward with the project prior to the July 4, 2026 deadline for the direct credit.

The Rehoboth Sports and Fitness Center was constructed in 2007. The athletic facility not only serves our high school and middle school teams, but also hosts many tournaments throughout the year, as well as our high school and middle school graduation ceremonies and band programs. The flat roof areas were re-roofed in 2024. The scope of the project will involve an array on the metal roof of the auxiliary gym and also arrays on flat roof areas. We anticipate savings on our electrical utility of $23,000-$25,000 annually.

The Rehoboth High School was constructed in 2018. We are thankful to have an amazing building to serve our High School students and staff! The initial scope of the project will include a large array on the metal roof area of the building, but we hope to also be able to expand this project to include smaller arrays on flat roof sections. The initial scope of this project projects a savings to our electrical utility of $18,000-$20,000 annually.
We are excited to have $116,000 already committed to Phase #2 of Rehoboth Solar as of November 24, 2025.
We hope to have the remaining need of $357,000 committed by February 1, 2026 so that we can build both the SFC and HS projects and save $45,000 annually on our electrical bill. Please consider a gift in the coming months to these projects!
