Jeanne graduated from Rehoboth in 1994. The Kamps family’s connection to the school goes back to the 1920s, so Rehoboth truly feels like home. After graduating from UNM and later earning a Masters in special education from Western New Mexico, she spent the past 22 years as a SPED teacher at Catherine A. Miller Elementary in Church Rock. Having retired from the public schools in the spring of 2025, Kamps was excited to come to RCS. “I felt God calling me back to Rehoboth—a place where I can integrate my faith into teaching and help students grow not only academically, but spiritually. I’m excited to serve in a community that has shaped my own life and faith.

Jeannie loves her two cats and her dog, and she is an outdoor enthusiast. You’ll find her out kayaking, hiking, running, and participating in Spartan races—fun, challenging obstacle-course events that test both strength and perseverance. She also enjoys expressing her creativity through art, crafts, and quilting. Since starting her work at Rehoboth, she has loved getting to know the staff members and reconnecting with people she has known for years.
