I came to Rehoboth in the fall of 2004.  I grew up in a loving home in Hudsonville, Michigan.  Following high school, I walked away from the Lord, but thankfully a friend was persistent in sharing Christ to me, sparking a hunger in me to know God through His Word.  I then transferred from Grand Rapids Community College to Reformed Bible College in Grand Rapids MI. During my Bible college days, I was invited to spend a summer serving a church on the Navajo Reservation near Chinle, Arizona.  Soon after graduating from Bible College, I moved to Chinle, Arizona, doing youth ministry and immersing myself in Navajo culture, until I was invited to teach Bible part-time at Rehoboth Christian School too.

At Rehoboth, I met my wife Carrie. We now have three sons, Nehemiah, Jotham, and Elisha.  I am an ordained chaplain and presently serve as the Chaplain at Rehoboth Christian School, and also in the greater community.  I presently am in the process of pursuing my M.Div through Western Theological Seminary. What I love about my job is the opportunity I get each day to share the love and hope of Christ in deed and word to students, families, and graduates.  I also love networking with other local ministries, introducing students to a broader community of those who love Jesus and love people. I long to see our students understand their place in God’s story, being and becoming an answer to Jesus’ prayer request in Matthew 9:36-38.
