I grew up in Imlay City, Michigan. I came to Rehoboth Christian School for the first time as a student teacher from Calvin College in 2013, and then returned as a full-time 3rd grade teacher in 2014. I received my bachelor’s degree in elementary education with focuses in early childhood, math, and science from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I really enjoy working with elementary students and especially sharing God’s world with them whether that is through reading, writing, math, or my favorite - science! I have had the opportunity to bring the love and wonder of science to not only my students, but other students in grades K-5 through after-school and Saturday science programs once a month. I love that at Rehoboth I am given the support and encouragement to make learning fun, engaging, and meaningful for each and every student that I have. My deep hope for my students is that they will leave my classroom being curious explorers who desire to discover their role as they actively work to better God’s world.
