Rosalyn Ghysels Nursing Scholarship
About the Donor
Rosalyn “Rosie” Ghysels earned her nursing degrees from Johns Hopkins University and Columbia University. She dedicated over 30 years to nursing education, including leading and developing programs at Grand Rapids Junior College. Rosie also volunteered with Project Hope to establish nursing schools in underserved areas and later served with the American Red Cross. After visiting Rehoboth, she recognized the need for more nurses in the community and established this scholarship to support local students pursuing healthcare careers.
Scholarship Details
- Open to Rehoboth Christian School alumni enrolled in nursing or allied health programs
- Awards up to $2,500 per year
- Based on financial need, academic achievement, motivation, and character
- Preference for students committed to serving underserved communities

Fern Wiersum Memorial Nursing Scholarship
About the Donor
Fern Wiersum was a registered nurse for over 40 years. Her passion for serving others extended beyond her profession through volunteer work at local schools and her church community.

- Open to Rehoboth alumni accepted into a nursing program
- Must demonstrate strong Christian character and faith

- $1,000 award, renewable for one additional year
