Volunteering at Rehoboth Christian School
Rehoboth Christian School relies on the faithful support of volunteers to sustain its ministry to students and families in our community. With a wide range of ongoing needs, volunteers of all ages and skill levels play an important role in supporting our mission.
We invite you to prayerfully consider how your gifts and talents may be used to serve. To get started, please complete a volunteer application.
On-campus lodging options are also available for those serving with us.
Your willingness to serve makes a meaningful difference in the lives of our students and school community.
Service Opportunities at Rehoboth
Rehoboth offers a variety of meaningful ways to serve alongside our staff and support our students. Volunteers are matched with opportunities that fit their gifts, experience, and availability.
Educational Programs
Assist teachers in the classroom by working one-on-one or in small groups with students, supporting reading, homework help, or preparing instructional materials. Volunteers may also serve alongside our library staff.
Office / Administration
Support school operations through clerical work, data entry, and assistance with administrative projects.
Food Service
Help serve and clean up lunch in our school kitchen. This is a great opportunity to interact with students daily and support our friendly kitchen staff.
Maintenance
Our historic campus requires ongoing care and upkeep. Volunteers assist with repairs, remodeling, landscaping, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, demolition, concrete projects, and general vehicle or bus maintenance. No expertise is required—willing hands are welcome.
Other Campus Opportunities
Support the school nurse, assist with facility cleaning, or help during athletic events and school programs. We also seek to match volunteers with specialized skills whenever possible.
Off-Campus Opportunities
Volunteers may also be connected with local ministries and organizations such as food pantries, homeless outreach, and area churches. Serving throughout the greater Gallup community directly benefits Rehoboth students and families.
Volunteer Housing
Rehoboth offers a variety of lodging options for volunteers, including apartments, dorm rooms, and an RV lot for trailers. Housing is assigned based on availability and individual needs, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
We ask that you contact our Groups & Guests Coordinator, Laura Blystra, at least one month in advance—especially during the winter months when housing is often at capacity. In some cases, adjustments may be needed, and you will be contacted to discuss available options.

Volunteer Process
- Complete a Volunteer Application
- For the safety of our students, all volunteers are required to complete a background check prior to serving, and every three years thereafter. You will receive the background check form by email or mail. A $20 fee is required to cover the cost of processing.
- Once both steps are completed, our Groups & Guests Coordinator, Laura Blystra, will contact you with next steps and volunteer placement options.
