My name is Carol Sanches and I have been in education for 25 years. I studied in Gunnison, CO at Western State in the areas of English and elementary education where I obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a minor in elementary education. I then went to school at Adams State in Alamosa, CO where I obtained a masters degree in Special Education.
I worked for 6 years in Newcomb, NM as a special education teacher and towards the end of my years there I studied Educational Administration and obtained another MA degree in Administration. I then went back to CO to work as a Principal at an elementary/mid school for three years. I then returned to NM, specifically Gallup, to become a principal for Gallup McKinley County School (GMCS) for 10 years. After, I became a Coordinator for Special Education and worked another 8 years in that capacity at GMCS. I retired in June of 2022 from public education and opened a new chapter of my life at Rehoboth Christian School.
