I was born and raised in Gallup, but I also lived in Las Cruces, NM, for about 11 years. I initially moved to Las Cruces to attend New Mexico State University, but I loved the town so much, I ended up staying for several more years after graduating. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from NMSU and 21 graduate hours from UNM. The 21 graduate hours are in education and that is what allowed me to obtain my teaching license. In 2019, I began teaching at Rehoboth Christian School. For the past 10 years, I worked for Gallup McKinley County Schools  teaching 4th and 5th grade. This is my first year teaching in a Christian school and my first year teaching middle schoolers. I love that Rehoboth trusts me as a teacher, and that I’m allowed to decide how I’m going to teach my students, and that my curriculum isn’t dictated to me. Watching students flourish and seeing the look on their faces when they gain new understanding, is what I love about teaching.
