I came to Rehoboth Christian School with my family from Grand Rapids, Michigan for an adventure. It was only supposed to be for a couple of years, but twelve years later we are still on this great adventure! My wife and I have four children - all of them students at Rehoboth. We have lived within the Rehoboth, Fort Wingate, and Gallup communities. Each place has helped us learn about the beauty, reality, and hope of life.
I received my bachelor's degree from Calvin College in education with an emphasis on math and science. I have since earned my master’s degree in counseling from Western New Mexico University. Throughout my time at Rehoboth, I have taught middle and high school math and science and am now the high school counselor. Rehoboth has been a place where I get to know the students and their families. I have found that I continually grow along with my students - learning about the area, the culture, and how to live and impact the world around us. I love how Rehoboth welcomes all students and families. It creates a community that is diverse, real and one that is willing to walk through education and life together.
