Faith
My Faith

I was brought up as a Christian; however, our family was not terribly religious. Going to a public school in Thoreau it was difficult to be open about your faith and beliefes. When I transferred to Rehoboth it became much easier to testify to my beliefs.

I do believe in God and I consider myself a Christian. I know Jesus Christ is our savior and he died for our sins. I believe in the trinity and I believe in forgiveness. I enjoy learning about the Bible and hearing the stories about how Christianity has battled its way throughout the ages. My favorite Bible story is the one about David and Goliath. David overcomes Goliath with just a stone and his faith in God. This is a powerful story to me because it made me realize that with God's help we can do anything.

I look to God for many things. I trust in God's judgment and I understand his trials. I ask God for forgiveness, even if I don't believe I deserve it. I believe he is a loving God. God is strict, but fair. He is powerful and gentle. God gives and takes away. He is alpha and omega.

Three Years ago I join our church Bible Study and we started studying for the Bible Bowl. The Bible Bowl is where a bunch of different churches study a certain book of the bible and then have competitions to see whose youth group has retained the most information on that book. Our small church has come in 1st place every time for the past 4 years! I was honored to be a part of that.
