I have been playing basketball since I could walk. I grew up around basketball. My family has been playing basketball for many years. I played all four year in high school and two years on varsity. Basketball is more than a sport; basketball has built my character and has also taught me to work with others. I enjoy playing to have fun, but I also get very competitive. This year, I made team captain and also received the Navajo Tribal Utility Authority sportsmanship award. We also made it to district championships and made it to the final four but lost by one point to the team we played in the district championships. It was hard to lose by one point but being able to accomplish what our team had was awesome. We changed what people thought of us. We heard negative thoughts and we used that to grow and show them what we could do. I am glad to end my senior of basketball the way it went.
