MUSIC
Music has always been a big part of my life. My mom is very talented in playing the piano and singing, I think that is where my love for music comes from, because I admire her so much. I started playing the piano off and on since grade two, but I did not get very far, lets just say I have the basics down. I also played the clarinet for five years, from seventh to eleventh grade, I played first clarinet, third chair. I would still be in band my senior year, but my schedule did not allow it. I have also been apart of the Rehoboth High School Choir for three years, since grade ten. I have loved being apart of the music program at Rehoboth, it has given me a chance to grow in areas I did not think I had any talent. And it has also given me a chance to travel. I went on band tour my freshman year, we traveled to California, and it was one of the best times I had since I had moved to the South. It gave me a chance to see parts of the US I had never seen and got to do a little missions, along the way. My Sophomore year I went on a mini tour to Phoenix with the High School Choir, an other great experience. Junior year was Band Tour again, we toured through California again and saw some amazing sites, I feel that my Junior year was when I grew the most in playing my instrument and being apart of the band. Also at the end of my Junior year I went on the Germany Choir Tour, for Maria, a German exchange student who went to school at Rehoboth two years ago. I still cannot believe that we went to Germany, it was amazing, definitely one of my highlights of High School. We got to sing our hearts out, tour a bit of the country, and meet great people that we will never forget. It was surreal. And just this past year I tried out for the New Mexico All-State Chorus, and made the mixed choir. I learned so much and feel that I really expanded in my gifts. If I had been any where else, and not at Rehoboth I would never have gotten a chance like these to travel, and do all these great things.

SPORTS
Since freshman year I have been involved in sports. Grade nine I played volleyball at Vernon Christian School, in BC. I took a year off of sports my sophomore year, but have recently been on Rehoboth's varsity soccer team for two years, both my junior and senior year. Being apart of a team has helped me to get to know girls out side of my own class, make stronger friendships, and learn leadership skills.
