I have a lot of dreams in life. I wish to accomplish many things before my life is over. Some are little and some... are things that I hope will leave an impact on someone's life.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My first goal is to become a teacher.
I believe that a teacher can impact a person's life tremendously. Good teachers are ones who push you to do better. They are the ones who can see your potential when we often do not see it ourselves; when I don't see it. I have a lot of great teachers. It's hard to narrow it down and I can't. I don't want to. I can think of teachers of who have taught me something since the 1st grade. But, here and now, the teachers that I have encountered at Rehoboth have inspired me to do more with my life.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have learned that I can accomplish great things with effort and a "no-fail attitude." Not really, but Rehoboth has been a part of me for seven years now. I have come to realize that Rehoboth has given me opportunities that I would not have found elsewhere and the relationships that I have built with staff and others are things that I value most.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My second goal is to teach in a different country like Africa or India. I believe that everyone deserves a chance to recieve some kind of education no matter their circumstances. This is something that I hold  dear to my heart. I believe that I could really impact people's lives and teach them skills that could open doors. I think of it as saving the world one student at a time.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Other goals include normal things like having a family, teaching in a local school, read braille, take pottery classes, work in a bakery, read philosophy books, attempt to write my own book, take photography lessons, misson trip, violin lessons, travel, scuba diving, be an active member in my community, figure new and fun ways to better the enviroment.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Of course I can't possibly name all my goals but I do know that when I'm aged and perhaps a grandmother to more than one, I want to look back on my life and feel satisfaction within myself that I made the most of my life doing the best I could to help others, to share the love of Christ, to be a good mom, and to appreciate all of the blessings and moments that made my life unique. These are the things that I look forward to as I continue my life and as I leave high school.

"The teacher who is indeed wise does not bid you to enter the house of his wisdom but rather leads you to the threshold of your mind."
~Kahlil Gibran
