Friends

My friends are amazing. Their always there to brighten my day and put a smile on my face. Without them high school would be a drag. So thank you for making my life better and hope I didn't forget anybody!!

Shanelle James

This girl is my little sister. I got to know her my junior year and she's been the coolest, funniest, nicest, and bestest sister ever. Whenever I'm happy or mad she's right there with me trying to make it better. Her family is amazing as well and I thank them a lot because they have treated me with absolute care and love. Her dad Elroy cracks me up and her mom makes the best breakfast burrito ever! Those burrito's have saved me from starvation. Shad and Meshack are her little brothers and they both are my boyfriends. (Thats right shelby!) These little guys are crazy funny and can always get on Shanelle's nerves. But man she can cook! She's always baking cakes, cookies, or brownies for me and now I've gained 10 pounds! But I honestly love her as my little sister and I expect to see Shanelle graduate with a 4.0 GPA and dominate in both volleyball and basketball.

Shanelle, you have so much potential to do anything you set your mind to and I hope you never give up. All the struggles you go through in life only make you stronger and I hope you know I'll always be here for you. It's hard saying good bye but I know you'll always be my little sister. I love you and wish you the best in high school. And remember, NO BOYS!!

Janette Joe

Nettie is my little side kick. I barely got to know her this year during basketball but since then she's been in my heart. She's funny, smart, and very talented. The one thing I'll remember about her is her sushi and vegitarianism! This girl won't even look at meat! She also owes me sushi but I guess I'll never get it! Just kidding Nettie. You are another little sister of mine and I hope that I've set a good example for you. Always do what is in your heart and keep giving that 100%. You were born to hustle and thats what I love about you. You never complained and you never gave up and that's what makes a leader. I have no doubt that you will take the basketball team farther than we did, because the one thing you can teach is heart. I'm looking forward to coming back and watching you play! You and Megan are talented young ladies and I expect to see you guys shine. Love ya Nettie.

"Smallz"

Man, what to say about you....hmm....well first of all you can eat! Everytime I saw you there was either food in your hand or in your mouth! Maybe thats why we became good friends because we can always eat. Geez I remember when you ate that whole bag of skittles in one day! I never knew anyone who could eat so much candy but yet be that small! Just kidding. But seriously, I'm glad you came to Rehoboth. It was hard getting to know you at first and I know we had our ups and downs but through all that you became my little sister. I could always tell when you were upset or happy and I tried my best to cheer you up. And whenever your down, come to this page and read all of this. Or remember the poem I wrote for "Quintin". Man that was a good poem. Anyways, always keep your head up and don't be easily persuaded. Make sure you keep playing ball and be the next "Miss Tiger Woods".....love ya skittles!

"Booger

Everyone knew you as Tina's little sister or the "twins". But to be honest, you guys are nothing a like. You have your own sense of humor and own style. I can remember when you would walk around in all your Wingate stuff and I used to think to myself, "doesn't she know she's at Rehoboth now?!". But when basketball started I got to know you and realized that I missed out on getting to know you sooner. You can always put a smile on my face and love that about you. Your always trying to tickle me even though you know I'm not ticklish! But your hugs are amazing and you always know when to give them. I love the nickname that you and "bertha" came up for me, (but I'm not going to say it because someone might steal it.) Your family is great and I'm glad I got to know all of you this year. I give much thanks to your grandma and grandpa because they have done alot for this school already. Your grandma is always cooking at the concession stand and your grandpa is always grilling in the back. And some mornings your grandma will surprise me with coffee and that what I absolutely love! But my favorite person is Bertha. She's easy to pick on and can always handle it. She has such a big heart and I'm grateful I got to know her. So this whole family is amazing and I send my love out to all of you!

Jamie "Nutrcacker"

I know I barely got to know you a few months ago but your probably the funniest and most gangster friend I have. All the things you do are illegal and just knowing that is funny. I pray that you graduate high school and continue to college. Please wear your bullet proof vest, that way I know your safe for a few more days. Have fun at Potatoe Island!

Rainee Lee aka "Etch"

I don't even know where to start with you. Your so blonde that everything I say to you you won't even understand. So i'll just make fun of you because thats all we used to do. I remember when I first started running cross country with you and I didn't think you were going to last. You were so girly and goofy that whatever we told you to do you'd do it. We just used to laugh at you because you never knew what was going on or what we were talking about and you were right there when the whole thing happened. I know this seems mean but this is how our friendship was and I wouldn't have it any other way. You could make me laugh in the worst situations and the things you say are hilarious. It may seem like i'm always teasing you or being mean but that how I show my love for you. You are one person I'll never forget and I'll come back to see you run! So take care of those shin splints and leave those boys alone!

All the above friends are the ones who still have a high school career to finish. The next group of friends are the ones that are going to be starting their new lives in college.

Stacey Ben

This girl has been my friend since kindergarden and no one can measure our friendhsip. We have honestly gone through a lot together and if it wasn't for her I don't know where I would be. Her and her mom always keep me in line and always opened there house to me. They are like my second family that I wouldn't trade for the world. It's funny because I never thought we stay friends this long because we were so opposite. She liked horses and rodeo's and I liked basketball and football. She was quiet and shy and I was loud and obnoxious. I guess it's true when they say opposites attract because she has been there for me for 13 years. The weird thing about our friendship is that were not bff's. We don't shop together, we don't talk everyday about drama, or get mad at one another for stealing a guy we like . Our friendship is mature and we both understand that. Whenever we need someone to talk to about anything, we're there for each other. We just know when to be there and thats how it will always be. So thank you Stacey for everything. Love ya sis.

Tiffany Begay

I met you sophmore year and ever since then you've been in my life. You are my best friend and the only one i can count on when things get hectic. I know we have suffered a lot together and I guess thats what sisters go through because honestly no one understands our friendship. I am glad you stayed by my side through everything and i'm trully blessed to have your family support me as well. Ozzy and Whit are my new baby brother and sister so they better listen to me! Just kiddin. I love you guys and I know we'll stay friends.

SunniRose Terry

I have to be honest, your probably the blondest Navajo girl I've ever met. You get excited and hyper from anything and thats what makes me laugh. Even the first day I transferred you weren't scared to appproach me and asked if I played volleyball. I actually think you and Regina were my first friends. Basketball was always fun when you were hyper and looking for fun. I swear your always hungry, loud, burping, and lauging and for some reason I'm your friend. Just kidding. But the best memory I had with you was the weekend at Gatherings. We were walking though the lobby and saw this little boy with a cute Chris Paul jersey and we couldn't stop admiring him! Then we keep walking and noticed who's actually holding this little boy and here it's your ex! Pappa bear! That was so funny I couldn't stop laughing. I'll always remember that and hope that we have many more memories this summer. I wish you the best in college and your volleyball career!

Regina Butthead

Gina and I have had so many funny memories that I can't bring them all up because they'd fill this whole page. But whenever I hang out with this girl we always have fun and just let loose. We don't have alot in common because I love chocolate and she doesnt, i love rap and hip hop, she likes contemporary music, and the big difference is our taste in guys. I swear every minute of the day her and Sunni are checking out guys that I honestly don't think are cute. And when I do agree with them I don't go all crazy and scream. Plus, unlike Regina, I'm cool around guys. I don't get caught saying something stupid or tripping over my own feet. I remember this one time during cross country we were checking into our hotel and noticed that some schools were staying there as well. So were waiting for the elevator and Regina decides to be a weirdo and put her face right in front of the elevator doors. All of a sudden the doors open too fast for Regina to move her silly face and there the whole Pecos boys team standing there staring at her. She was so embarrassed that she actually screamed and turned around. We couldn't stop laughing at her and the rest of the time we were there she didn't even want to go on one of her "man hunts". But the best memory I've had with her so far happened just a few days ago. She was driving me home in her old ghetto scooby doo car and the whole time I was praying that her car wouldn't kill us. So she pulls out in front of these trucks and it honestly felt like her car was going to stall in the middle of the road. I was sitting there looking at the trucks about to run us over and I turn to her and say, "I swear Regina if we die because of your car I'm going to punch you in the face! So the last thing i'd do is punch you in the face before I die!". After that we couldn't stop laughing and since then thats all I say to her. She is probably the only girl I can be honest with all the time. There are times when we get irritated with each other but in the end it doesn't matter. So I wish you the best where ever you go and I pray that you don't get all crazy.

Kelly "Carla" Chapman

Well Kelly is my half Zuni sister so we get along great. Just kidding. We are good friends tho and she is the one without drama or gossip and thats why we hang out. I used to go down to Zuni to feed my face and check out her hot cousin. The first year I went to the Shalako dances I freezed my ass off! It was like negative 10 degrees and i was only wearing one pair of socks and maybe two jackets. It was me, Shawn, Kelly, and Dana standing outside watching the dances when I couldn't take it anymore and went back to the car. I couldn't feel my toes, hands, and my whole face was numb. For some reason I went back year after year just to freeze again. The best part about it tho was all the food. We would constantly eat all weekend and this was all home cooked. We would cruise around in Shawns car jamming to music and looking for something to do. Of course we had to stop at Lemon tree and get our slushes and one time we even thought about robbing Lemon Tree just for there slushy machine. Those were good times but what I loved is how everyone knew each other in Zuni. It was so small that everyone's business was known. One time we were crusin around and there was this car parked with some lady sitting in there and Shawn looks to Kelly and says, "what was that guys name?". Then Kelly was like, "oh thats the meat pie guys wife!" They never knew anyones name but they knew them for something strange. It was funny and now I probably met every Zuni out there. But me and Kelly could always laugh at a situation. Wether is was good or bad, we always find a way to make fun of it. It was our job to pick on Gina til she got so mad and just started restling with Kelly. I swear those two are always fighting! But thats just who they are and thats how i'll remember them. So Carla I wish you the best in whatever you do and hopefully you keep running becase you could become the next Marion Jones.

Jessica Largo

Everyone know's Jessie but not the way I do! She is my partner in crime where ever we go. No matter what we're doing its going to be crazy and fun. She is an amazing athlete and i hate her because she is good at everything! She doesnt even need to try because she's going to succeed no matter what. I think what really brought us close together was when she invited me to family camp. At first I was kind of iffy but then I figured it would be better than staying home and cleaning. So I went and thats the best time I ever had at a camp. I got to meet a lot of good people and just to get to know her and her family more. I think that whole week I didn't stop laughing because everything we were doing was fun. We stayed in a cabin with her grandma and great grandma and each morning we'd wake up and her grandma would be singing one. One morning me and Jessie didn't want to wake up so her grandma stared singing this song, "sun light, sun bright, in my soul today"...then she says, "man I wish I knew that whole song so I could wake these girls up". That was the first funny memory of her grandma. The next memory was when we were in Chapel and she made a joke and no one laughed except her. She sat that in her pew all alone cracking up about the joke she made and it was the cutest thing to see her little shoulders moving up and down in laughter.
