Where do you live?
Thoreau, NM

How far away from Rehoboth do you live?
30 Miles

How long have you attended Rehoboth?
One year

What do you like about Rehoboth?
I like that its a lot smaller than my old school and the people and teachers are easier to get along with.

What sports do you participate in?
Track

What events do you compete in?
Track: Open 200, Open 100, 300 meter hurdles, 1600 meter medley, 4x2 relay

What do you like about track or how has it impacted your life?
I like that track got me back in shape. I thought that I was in pretty good shape before I started track but then I realized after a week or two that I wasn’t. I was so incredibly sore that I didn’t want to walk when I didn’t have to. Or even move. In the 300 hurdles, I started out in the beginning of the year running 55’s. By the end I shortened that to 49’s. I couldn’t believe that I was able to do that. So that shows how much practice did for me so I could produce at the meets.

Do you have any idea what you would like to do after high school?
I definitely want to go to college. Probably in state. I also want to do my best at trying to play football in college. That has been my dream for years. So I’ll play college ball and if that can maybe take me somewhere then great. But the odds are against me so I’ll also have to do well in the classroom if football doesn’t work out for me. Not sure what I want to major in yet.

How do you feel your experiences at Rehoboth are preparing you for life?
I’ve learned more here in one year than I could ever hope to learn at me old school. Things would be so easy there that I wouldn’t have to try at all and I was still getting A’s and B’s. I knew that once I got into college that I wouldn’t be the “smart kid” anymore. So I decided to some here because I like how small it was and I figured that smaller classes would be better for me. I was right.
