For 110 years Rehoboth has been a place where children are given the opportunity to thrive and reach their full potential in a diverse, supportive, and challenging environment. In the fall of 2009 Rehoboth Christian School expanded its Elementary School to provide for the growing need of a Christian Pre-Kindergarten. Rehoboth Early Childhood Center’s mission is to offer a warm, accepting atmosphere in which the whole child and his/her family can grow–spiritually, emotionally, socially, creatively, intellectually, and physically. Children will learn and be taught from a Christian perspective, where God is honored through daily prayers, singing, and teaching.
The PreK uses the HighScope Curriculum which supports teaching that is developmentally appropriate for each child. The curriculum is research- based and is aligned with New Mexico standards. It emphasizes hands-on experiences and positive interactions between the teachers and children. The adults and students are active partners while learning. This approach enhances each child’s growth in the foundations of academics as well as all the other areas of learning and development.
The Rehoboth Early Childhood Center provides a quality education that develops the whole child - body, mind and spirit. Elementary schools now expect children to enter kindergarten ready to learn. The program helps children and families with the important transition into a Christian education.
