Community

The Rehoboth Christian School student body consists of 67% Native American students, 22% Anglo students, and 11% students of other ethnic minority backgrounds. More than 10 denominations are represented at Rehoboth, including Christian Reformed, Baptists, and Catholic churches. Total enrollment for the 2012-2013 school year is 473 students in grades PreK-12.

Student Scholarship/Financial Aid

Need-based assistance makes Rehoboth affordable for families of all income levels. For the 2011-2012 school year, RCS has granted over 74% of students an average of more than $3,000 in scholarships based on financial needs. In total, RCS has granted over $1,121,766.

Fine Arts

Choir: There are 76 high school choir members this year. In 2010, 10 students made the All State choir. Of the 322 students that attend Rehoboth in grades 6-12, about 203 participate in the choral program. The high school choir has toured California, Iowa, Illinois, Michigan, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Washington, Oregon, Mississippi, Louisiana, Germany, and Canada (British Columbia).

Band: There are 43 members in the high school band this year. In grades 6-12, there are 160 band members. The band has received an excellent rating the past four years at state competition. The high school band also completed a tour in the Pacific Northwest and California last spring.

 

 

Facilities

Rehoboth Christian School is situated on 162 scenic and peaceful acres of land one mile east of Gallup, New Mexico on Historic Route 66.

Technology: 3 networked computer labs, 7 smart board classrooms, mounted projectors in all elementary, middle and high school classrooms, 1 mobile laptop lab, wireless internet access

HS/MS Library: 14,000 titles, magazine subscriptions, digital catalogue search

Sports and Fitness Center: weight room, 2 full size basketball courts, turf soccer field and rubberized track

The Navajo Code Talkers Communication Center

Ropes Course: Indoor and Outdoor Climbing Walls

Observatories: 15 foot diameter dome housing a Meade 10” LX200 telescope programmed with 64,000 objects. In 2004 Rehoboth partnered with the Calvin College Astronomy Dept. to install the Calvin-Rehoboth Robotic Observatory.
