Financial Aid and Scholarships
Rehoboth Christian School’s Financial Aid Program is primarily need-based, though academic achievement does play a role in some scholarship opportunities. Financial Aid applications must received by June 2, 2007. Distribution of financial aid is determined by June 15. We cannot guarantee financial aid for those who send in their applications later than June 15.
While we fully expect every family to be invested in their child’s education, it is our hope that no qualified student will be kept from attending Rehoboth Christian because of financial hardship. On average, families receiving tuition assistance will pay approximately $1,500 per student payable over 10 months. The following guidelines are used to assess what a family should be able to afford in tuition:
1 child—approximately 10 percent of income*
2 children—approximately 12 percent of income*
3 children—approximately 14 percent of income *

To be considered for financial aid, parents or guardians must fill out the Financial Aid Application Form and attach a copy of their 1040 tax form.
Rehoboth Christian School is committed to providing $575,000 in tuition assistance. There are a few other opportunities to that can help families reduce the cost of tuition:
- Educate New Mexico: Lottery, on-line application. If selected, you will have to fill out additional paperwork and can receive $1,500 for the first child and $1,000 each additional child. The lottery is pulled during March/April for the next school year. Applications for 2007-08 are accepted once the 2006-07 school year begins.
- Southwest Indian Foundation Grants (SWIF): Provides $1,000 per child for qualified Native American families. Contact SWIF in Gallup, NM or Admissions Office (505-726-9692) for more information.
- Navajo Nation Scholarships: Available for Navajo high school students with a 3.3 GPA or better. Applications for Spring 2007 are due by December 14 for scholarships ranging from $600-$1,000. Contact Admissions Office for application forms.
Mid year scholarships:
Rehoboth Christian School offers a number of academic scholarships throughout the school year. Students must apply for these scholarships and may be asked to write an essay. For more information, contact Lorretta Smith at 505-726-9692.
